Kali Sticks

Info: Also know as Escrima, Kali is known as the art of "stick fighting". It should be noted however that the "sticks" are actualy used in place of bladed weapons (swords, machetes, or knives). The important principle(s) in kali is the ability to work either with or without a weapons using the same techniques, and to be able to get "inside" an opponent.

Parts: When using kali or escrima sticks there are no real "parts" to speak of. One sould, however, be aware of the hand position one the stick(s) as there are three ranges of fighting.

Concepts: In Ken Zen Ichii Kali/Escrima is used to teach basic attack angles for bladed weapons as well as footwork. Empasis is placed on the distance or "range" of the opponent and the different motions used at various ranges.
